Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for classes?

Registering for class is super easy through MindBody website or app! Just go to the Register for Class tab at the top of the page, and click the link.

What class should I start with?

Our group classes are multi level to allow all students to attend the class time that works best for them. Open gym requires students to have enough knowledge to practice on their own with no direct instruction.

What if I've never done this before or am not in really good shape?

Aerial fitness is designed for students of all levels! Regardless of your background, we have the perfect class for you. Most people who enjoy aerial silks start off with no prior experience, and gain skills, confidence, and grace over time.

What should I wear and bring?

We like to request that students wear tighter fitting fitness clothing, with no buttons, zippers, or jewelry that might cause harm to the silks. Looser clothing is not advised due to the potential for catching in the silks.

We also request that students bring a water bottle with plenty of water, as hydration during aerial is very important.

Is it safe for kids as well as adults?

Just like our experience levels, aerial fitness is designed for both kids and adults alike. Regardless of your age or experience, safety is our NUMBER 1 priority here at Fit to Fly. Our teachers are certified for group fitness instruction, and we take all precautions very seriously. Students start on the ground, and only fly when they are safely ready to do so. All new tricks are learned on the ground first, and safety mats are always provided.

Are pictures and videos allowed?

Pictures and videos are allowed and encouraged! These are often excellent motivators for improvement, as well as great memories. We do request that family members remain outside of the aerial training space while taking photos for the safety of the students.
